Archaeology has uncovered, over the past century, hundreds of cities belonging to the Indus civilization, which the ancient hymns call the land of the “7 rivers.” These sites reveal brick houses, straight streets, drainage systems, and thousands of carved seals.

On these seals appears a mysterious script, made of small, precise signs. So far, no one has managed to decipher it. Scholars do not know whether it was an alphabet, a syllabic writing system, or a set of religious symbols.

This enigma continues to fascinate researchers. Decoding the script would shed new light on daily life, thought, and spirituality in this civilization, closely linked with the Rig Veda, humanity’s oldest sacred text.
