Ayahuasca is a drink made from two plants: the vine Banisteriopsis caapi and the leaves of Psychotria viridis. It is prepared by shamans, called curanderos or ayahuasqueros, who are traditional healers. This drink is used during spiritual ceremonies to heal the body and mind.
